Maple Grove Bar Accidentally Sold Spotted Cow, Owner Says
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Twin Cities bar owner says his staff didn't think through a decision to sell a beer that's banned from bars in Minnesota.
In February, Maple Tavern in Maple Grove advertised Spotted Cow on tap on its Facebook page.
The problem is that beer is from New Glarus, in Wisconsin, and can only be sold in Wisconsin.
The bar's owner says his bar manager picked up some kegs across the border because customers asked for them.
The bar says this was a mistake that won't happen again.
It's not clear what punishment or fines could be imposed.
