Man, 18, Pleads Guilty To Killing Girlfriend's Daughter
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man pleaded guilty to murder charges in the beating death of a 2-year-old girl.
Cody Feran-Baum, 18, admitted to hitting and kicking his girlfriend's daughter after he was frustrated with her crying.
Sophia O'Neill died last June at Feran-Baum's grandmother's house on 30th Avenue South in Minneapolis.
He had been babysitting Sophia for his girlfriend.
Feran-Baum admitted that "he lost it" kicking and stepping on the girl to make her stop crying.
He is expected to get 25 years in prison at a sentencing on Dec. 22.
