Restaurant Deals For Leap Day Babies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Once every four years Feb. 29 rolls around.

For most of us, it's just an extra day. But for those born on Leap Day it is a chance for them to celebrate their actual birthday.

So, to help commemorate the once-every-four-years birthday celebrations, a number of restaurants are offering deals all day for leaplings.

Buca di Beppo

Have a "Lady and the Tramp" moment at Buca di Beppo with their Leapling spaghetti and meatball deal!

For those born on Feb. 29, Buca is offering a free spaghetti with meatball plate.

Guests must have a valid ID showing their birth date.

Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe is also offering a leapling-specific deal.

Participating locations nationwide are offering a free entrée to those born on Leap Day. The entrée is from its special "Leaplings Eat Free" menu, which features burgers, chicken mac & cheese, pulled pork and more.

Guests must show a valid photo ID proving Feb. 29 is their actual birthday before receiving the deal.

Houlihan's

Twin Cities locations in Chanhassen, Eagan and Richfield are among those offering up a free Leap Day entrée to leaplings.

Guests will also receive 28 additional free entrees to redeem on a return visit at any Houlihan's in the next month.

Diners must present an ID that shows a birth date.

Pizza Hut

Not craving spaghetti and meatballs or burgers? Pizza Hut has got you covered.

Leaplings can get a free personal pan pizza.

Again, IDs are required.

Non-Leapling Deals

For non-leaplings, a few restaurants are making sure you can enjoy discounted items as well.

Krispy Kreme is offering a dozen original glazed doughnuts for $2.29.  And Olive Garden has a coupon for four free "Dolcini" deserts for dine-in orders.
