Kylie's Kids: Meet Ben

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- When you hear a child has a congenital heart defect, you might think they'd have lower energy. That's far from the case for this week's Kylies Kids.

Ben was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Essentially, he was born without the left side of his heart.

However, Ben has more energy than any 5-year-old WCCO's Kylie Bearse has met.

He may be only 5, but Ben knows exactly what he wants. And that is to race down the empty hall at Children's Hospital. He also wants to know about everything!

After three surgeries, Ben's now like any other 5-year-old -- with maybe a little extra energy.

Ben was treated at Children's Minnesota.
