Jablonski To Lead Hockey's Biggest Stick Tap

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Former Minnesota prep hockey player Jack Jablonski will take the ice at Saturday's Wild-Stars game to help raise awareness of spinal cord injury research.

Jablonski was left a quadriplegic when he was injured during a high school hockey game in 2011.

During the game at Xcel Energy Center, Jablonski will lead fans during intermission in hockey's largest stick tap -- a sign of respect for a player injured during a hockey game.

Fans will be asked to share a photo or video on social media of their own stick tap using (hashtag) StickTap2Hope to promote recovery for the 1.3 million Americans living with a spinal cord injury.

Before the game, the Jack Jablonski Bel13ve in Miracles Foundation will host its annual gala at RiverCentre Exposition Hall.
