Fmr. House Speaker Hastert To Serve Time In Rochester Facility
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dennis Hastert, the disgraced former U.S. Speaker of the House will be serving time in Minnesota for covering up sex crimes.
News sources in Chicago are reporting the 74-year-old Republican is in failing health. The federal facility in Rochester is the closest medical facility to Hastert's home state of Illinois.
A judge called Hastert a "serial child molester" at his trial and sentenced him to 15 months. Hastert is due to report to the prison on Wednesday.
