Free Bikes 4 Kidz Hosts Wrench Slinger Shootout At Mall Of America
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- Minnesotan and three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond joined Free Bikes 4 Kidz at the Mall of America on Sunday.
The group hosted its annual Wrench Slinger Shootout. It's a friendly bike-building competition that puts local bike shops and celebrities against each other to see who can build the most bikes in 30 minutes.
The winner gets a trophy and bragging rights. Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit that provides bikes to kids in need.
Since 2008, the group has given away more than 30,000 bikes.
