Former President Jimmy Carter Visits Twin Cities
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Former President Jimmy Carter will visit the Twin Cities Friday.
He'll be moderating a discussion on human rights and democracy as part of a Nobel Peace Prize forum.
First on the schedule, he'll speak to a group of young students gathering at Augsburg College.
Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his efforts to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts.
He was the 39th President of the United States, in office from 1977 to 1981.
