First Day At The State Fair Tops 110K

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It wasn't a record-breaking crowd, but at least six figures made their way through the gates on the first day of the Minnesota State Fair.

On Thursday, 110,267 people showed up for the Great Minnesota Get-Together, that's more than 15,000 people from last year's attendance.

In 2013, there were about 106,852 people there. The record first-day attendance for any Minnesota State Fair was set in 2010 with 119,145.
