Eden Prairie Home Significantly Damaged In Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said there were no injuries but an Eden Prairie home suffered significant damage in a fire late Thursday night.
Fire crews were called just before midnight to a home on the 9400 block of Olympia Drive after a homeowner called reporting the garage on fire. Crews arrived within minutes and found the garage fully engulfed in flames.
Fire officials said two people inside the home at the time the blaze started made it out safely. The home is located near Olympic Hills Golf Course in Eden Prairie. Fire crews said the house did not have a sprinkler system, and the fire appears to have started in the garage.
No firefighters were hurt battling the blaze, but the roof of the home was burned off and the structure suffered significant damage. Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
