Corps Awards Contracts To Build Levees
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded four contracts for emergency work to be done this coming week in North Dakota.
Dakota Underground Inc. of Fargo received a $450,000 contract to add material to nearly 8,000 feet of existing emergency levees, raising them up to 2 feet, in Lisbon.
And Six-D Construction Company of Valley City was awarded a $623,000 contract to build about two miles of new temporary emergency levees in that city. The contract includes the option to add to 3.5 miles of existing emergency levees if needed.
Also, Sherman, Inc. of West Fargo received a $2.2 million contract and Rising Sun Inc. of Fargo received an $868,000 contract to build about 9 miles in 16 reaches of temporary emergency levees to a height of 42-44 feet.
