'Clouds' Creator Honored Posthumously With Dream Maker Award

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minnesota teen who recently died after a battle with cancer was honored Saturday night in Minneapolis.

Zach Sobiech's hit song "Clouds" went viral after he released it on YouTube.

At the Dawn of a Dream Gala in Minneapolis, Sobiech received the group's highest honor, the Dream Maker award.

His parents, Rob and Laura, accepted it on his behalf. The gala was put on by the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

Sobiech suffered from osteosarcoma.

A special live performance of "Clouds" was done by Jearlyn Steele and the Twin Cities Gospel Choir.
