Minneapolis man wanted in connection with shooting at north metro gun shop
Law enforcement is asking for help finding a man they say shot someone outside a Circle Pines, Minnesota, gun shop last weekend.
D'Marco Ricardo Shane Buckney Jr. is wanted on one count each of second-degree assault and second-degree attempted murder, according to a criminal complaint filed in Anoka County on Tuesday. There is a nationwide warrant for his arrest.
Authorities executed two SWAT raids in Minneapolis and Maplewood on Thursday looking for Buckney, 20, but came up empty.
Police say he shot a man in the parking lot of Bill's Gun Shop and Range around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. There, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was conscious and was taken to the hospital.
After reviewing survelliance video, authorities identified Buckney as the suspect.
Charges say the video shows Buckney renting a shooting lane at the gun shop under his name and correlating with a customer account number.
After leaving the building, Buckney was caught on camera in the parking lot, where he allegedly took a few steps toward the victim, raised his gun and fired five shots. He then drove away from the shop.
Anyone with information regarding Buckney's whereabouts is asked to contact the Anoka County Communications Center at 763-427-1212.
