Sheriff: Suspect Injured In Chisago County Officer-Involved Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a suspect was hurt after an officer-involved shooting in Chisago County Sunday afternoon.
Authorities responded to a residence on Maple Street in Almelund on a report of a suicidal male. Almelund is located just east of North Branch. A SWAT team was called to the area, and authorities had to engage the suspect. The man was shot by officers and taken to a hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known.
More details are expected to be released at a news conference at 10 a.m. Monday. The incident remains under investigation.
