Child Struck By Vehicle In Northeast Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A child was struck by a car in northeast Minneapolis Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the child was running across Lowry Avenue and Benjamin Street NE around 3 p.m. when he was hit by the vehicle's side mirror.

He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and for precautionary reasons.

The driver stopped the vehicle and was cooperating with police.
