ELKTON, S.D. (AP) — A Brookings man has died in a rollover crash near Elkton.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 1999 Chevrolet Sedan was heading westbound near Elkton, when it ran off the roadway to the right, struck a culvert and vaulted over the road. The vehicle rolled and then came to rest in the south ditch.

Authorities say 24-year-old Cory Bergloff suffered fatal injuries. The Patrol says 28-year-old Curtis Lustfield of Lake Benton, Minn., suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear who was driving the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
