Boy, 12, Killed In ATV Crash In NE Minnesota

STURGEON LAKE, Minn. (AP) -- A 12-year-old Sturgeon Lake boy has died in an all-terrain vehicle accident on his family's farm.

Pine County sheriff's officials say the boy was pulling a horse trailer with the ATV when the trailer overturned, causing the ATV to jackknife and tip over Sunday afternoon. The boy was transported to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake, where he died of his injuries.

The Duluth News Tribune says the boy was alone on the ATV when the accident occurred.
