Betty's Pies Founder Betty Lessard Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A popular stop in cabin country is remembering its founder this weekend.

Betty Lessard, the founder of Betty's Pies in Two Harbors, passed away at age 90.

Lessard took over her father's fish stand in 1956 and made it into a favorite tourist destination, known for its pies and breakfast.

A memorial service is being planned in Hermantown.
