'Appetite For Change' Hosts Fundraiser For Youth Training Program

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis no-profit is using food to make social changes in our community.

It's called "Appetite for Change."

On Saturday, Appetite for Change will host a "Youth Is The Truth Party" at 5 p.m. at the Breaking Bread Café in Minneapolis.

The event is aiming to help raise money for them to build a training and employment program that helps youth in the Twin Cities.

The center will be used to help offer youth with everything from learning interview skills to applying to open positions.

The event will include food from restaurants like Brasa and Alma, live music, bike tune-ups and even bike giveaways. Cost is $5 to attend.

Co-founder and executive director Michelle Horovitz visited WCCO This Morning to talk more about the nonprofit and the work they do.
