4 Things To Know For March 20, 2016
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Here's a look at the four things you need to know for Sunday, March 20, 2016.
Number One: Chaos On The Campaign Trail
In New York this weekend, large crowds marched near Donald Trump-owned buildings and some of the demonstrators were pepper-sprayed.
Meanwhile in Arizona, protestors shut down a major interstate, backing up traffic for miles ahead of a rally for the Republican front-runner.
Number Two: Martin Sabo's Funeral
Hundreds of people gathered to remember the life of longtime U.S. congressman Martin Sabo on Saturday.
Sabo served 14 terms before he retired in 2007. He died last week after years of breathing problems.
Sabo was the longest consecutively-elected public official in Minnesota's history.
Number Three: New State Champs
There are some new state champions in girls basketball.
Among them in class 4A is Minnetonka, who upset defending champion Hopkins, 61-52.
It was Minnetonka's second state tournament appearance and first state title.
Number Four: Minnesota Cup
Starting on Monday anyone in Minnesota with a business idea can compete for the money to get started.
Minnesota Cup has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to Minnesota residents for their great ideas since 2005.
