2 St. Paul Bars Cited For Beer Supremacy

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- If you like to warm up with a nice cold beer, the Twin Cities is a great place to live. Two St. Paul establishments were included on Draft Magazine's recently released list of America's 100 best beer bars.

The first: the Muddy Pig in St. Paul, which is on Dale Street. The magazine said it's a stop on every brewer's trip.

They liked the expert beer selection of about 100 Belgian-leaning beers. They also like the easygoing, board-game-playing crowd.

The other top beer bar from the Twin Cities is the Happy Gnome, which is located in an old firehouse along Selby Avenue in St. Paul.

The magazine applauded the place for its choice of 475 craft beers and global delicacies. Exclusive beers on tap and beer dinners also make this place special.

In the warmer months, it also has a great patio.
