2 Killed, 1 Injured In Winona Co. Crash ID'd

WINONA, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of two people killed and a third person injured in a fiery crash on an icy highway in Winona County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 46-year-old Fay An Bailey of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and 42-year-old Jeffery P. Meixner of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, were pronounced dead at the Monday morning crash scene.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 61 about 10 miles south of Winona. The patrol says Bailey lost control of her vehicle on an icy curve and crossed the median, rolling over and hitting an SUV driven by Meixner.

The patrol says the SUV caught fire and Meixner was trapped inside.

According to the State Patrol, a passenger in Bailey's vehicle, Michelle A. Maloney, had injuries not believed to be life-threatening and was taken to a hospital.
