2 Families Displaced After Lightning Hits Hudson Duplex

HUDSON, Wis. (WCCO) -- Two families are out of their homes Sunday morning, after lightning hit their duplex.

It happened a little before 10 p.m. Saturday night in Hudson. Lightning hit both units on the top floor, quickly spreading to the living space.

A neighbor noticed the fire and alerted the homeowners. Both familes were at home, but they made it out OK.

Fire officials say it took seven departments to douse the flames.
