1 Dead After Vehicle Rear-Ends Semi In McLeod Co.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead after his vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck Wednesday afternoon in McLeod County, according to Minnesota State Patrol
The accident occurred on Highway 7, just three miles west of Silver Lake, Minn. Twenty-three-year-old Ryan M. Sturges, of Glencoe, died on the scene.
According to Minnesota State Patrol, the semi was traveling eastbound on Highway 7 and was turning into a business lot when Sturges, also traveling eastbound on Highway 7, rear ended the semi-truck.
The driver of the semi, 33-year-old Jerry Ball, of Lake Crystal, suffered no apparent injury.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
