A Minnesota man has been charged in federal court in connection with a Fargo bank robbery. Authorities say Jeremy Fahleen, of Litchfield, Minnesota, entered the Gate City Bank on the south side of Fargo on April 25 and handed a clerk a threatening note demanding money. Fahleen fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was arrested the next day in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Teachers from four states are headed to North Dakota coal country. The Lignite Energy Council says more than 120 elementary and secondary teachers from the Dakotas, Minnesota and Montana are slated to attend a seminar next week on how the coal known as lignite is mined and used to produce energy in the four-state region.

A 20-year-old woman was rescued from the waters of Minneapolis' Lake Harriet Wednesday afternoon. Police say the emergency happened just before 5 p.m. at the lake's North Beach. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the 20-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were swimming about 50 feet from shore near a swimming raft when both went underwater.

Dayton and top lawmakers alerted all legislators to be back in St. Paul for a one-day session that the governor will likely order for Friday.
