It's been more than a year since someone killed 18-year-old Tom Bearson at North Dakota State University. He'd only left for college a month before his death.
A Minneapolis father has been charged in the severe beating of his 20-month-old daughter, which left her with brain injuries. Ticortier Collins is charged with first-degree assault. Investigators say he beat his daughter so badly that she also has a lacerated spleen, rib and pelvic fractures.
Minnesota State Parks and Trails are celebrating their quasquicentennial. There will be special events held throughout the year to honor 125 years of operation, and it all kicked off Friday afternoon at Fort Snelling State Park.
