After observing the holiday weekend, the Minnesota Department of Health has released updated COVID-19 data from the past several days, reporting 5,777 additional cases and nine more deaths.
HealthPartners Institute released research Wednesday that shows COVID-19 mRNA vaccines -- the vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna -- do not increase the risk of miscarriage.
It's up to each district to require masks. Some are making their decisions based on the local COVID-19 positivity rate.
Reopening this popular testing site is another move by state leaders to keep people safe and slow the spread of the Delta variant as the school year kicks into high gear.

The group has met for weeks, hearing from ICU nurses, childcare providers, and MnDOT Employees, all who would like to see these checks.
This week will mark the first day of school for many Minnesota kids. Educators face the daunting task of trying to overcome the learning losses of the past two school years, and of course keeping kids and staff safe from COVID.
"This case is a clarion call to school districts to take the appropriate action themselves," Marshall Tanick said. "There's nothing that prevents the school districts from making this decision."
Thousands of Minnesotans are losing their federal unemployment benefits Sunday.
There have been 66 total COVID-19 cases linked to Albert Lea Schools so far, as the district deals with an outbreak that, in the first week of the school year, put almost 300 students in quarantine.
