Brooklyn Center police are investigating after a man was shot at the Denny's on James Circle early Saturday morning. According to authorities, it took place at 2:30 a.m. and the man in his lower body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to be OK.
The Hennepin County sheriff's office has completed its investigation into a man's fatal shooting by a Brooklyn Center police officer last month. Roseville Police have identified the two men involved in a murder-suicide that happened Thursday afternoon. Police say 44-year-old Cheng Vang from Roseville shot and killed his wife's co-worker - 33-year old Joseph Yang from Brooklyn Park - before turning the gun on himself. A 58-year-old Minnesota man has been sentenced to 30 years in an Illinois prison for a decades-old cold case killing. Bruno Salgado of Ramsey, Minn., was sentenced Friday. He was convicted in a June bench trial of the 1982 murder of 28-year-old Ismael Solano.
