Police shooting leaves one dead in Miami Gardens

Police in Miami Gardens are investigating a deadly shooting after an officer shot and killed a person in the backyard of a home in a residential neighborhood. The police chief said officers were responding to a distress call when the incident occurred. A large police presence remains on scene, and much of the investigation is centered about half a block from where residents are trying to return home from work.
