North Miami Beach man accused of abusing girlfriend's autistic son

A North Miami Beach man, Daniel Romero, faced a judge today after being accused of abusing his girlfriend's autistic son, who is now on a ventilator with life-threatening injuries. Romero is being held without bond on charges of child abuse and providing false information to police. Authorities say the young boy suffered internal bleeding to the brain and abdomen, along with cuts to his liver, kidney, and spleen.
