Miami voters to decide on moving city elections to even years

Miami city commissioners voted 4-1 to approve a measure that would move municipal elections to even-numbered years, aligning them with state and federal elections. The change would begin in 2032, but voters must first approve the proposal. The commission also appointed a new city manager, a familiar face who previously ran for Miami-Dade sheriff.
