ICE raids were reportedly conducted across South Florida on Sunday as President Trump cracks down on illegal immigration.
The bills, in part, would place new requirements on police to help with immigration enforcement efforts and eliminate in-state tuition for undocumented students.
The visit comes as an international showdown with Colombia appears to have been resolved.
Florida lawmakers will convene a special session on Monday. Democratic Senator Rosalind Osgood said she agrees that something needs to be done about immigration, but lawmakers need to come together in a bipartisan way to figure out a plan.
