Woman Jailed For Fighting, Spitting On Five Keys Cops

PLANTATION KEY (CBSMiami) -- A Miami-Dade woman is facing 10 felony charges after battling with the boys in blue down in the Keys, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Police said Susana Lima, 44, began to fight with officers after she was already being detained at the Plantation Key Detention Center.

She was initially taken into custody for coming into contact with a person that a Miami-Dade court ordered her to stay away from in November, as reported by CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald.

During her arrest Saturday, she reportedly got violent, kicking five deputies and spitting at three officers.

Lima was charged with eight counts of battery on a police officer, smuggling contraband into a jail and violently resisting arrest.

Officers also said she threatened to hurt herself.
