MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Firefighters had their hands full Friday afternoon with two brush fires that sparked up in Miami-Dade County.
The first was located near the N.W. 138th block of N.W. 6th Street in West Miami.
Officials said the fire spread to about 160 acres but crews were close to containing it.
Units from the Division of Forestry said another fire, near S.W. 177th Avenue and 88th Street in Southwest Miami, had been fully contained.
About 5 acres burned and while no buildings were close by, flames came dangerously close to a school bus parking lot and some large communication antennas.
