Tropical Disturbance Movement Means Less Rain For Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The tropical disturbance that slowly meandered across South Florida on Friday, continues to move away from us, and is now in the Gulf of Mexico.  As this feature, moves away, the rain and storm chance diminishes and the sun, cloud weather mix is back in play! As the sunshine increases during the afternoon hours on Saturday, a few storms may fire up, but widespread coverage is not expected.

Sunday's forecast is another, sun, cloud and spotty storm around "situation" which, is better than a weekend rainout!

Mariners, coastal waters for Saturday are as follows: Wind SE 10 – 15 knots, seas 2 – 4 feet with a moderate chop on bays.

Weather is always changing, and plans often depend on that "forecast".  If you have yet to check out our free CBS Miami Weather app (Weather on the Go), give it a try! Click here to download it on the iTunes store.
