Traffic Alert: Turnpike Connector Closed For Toll Upgrades
BROWARD COUNTY (CBS4) - Motorists who use the northbound connector to the southbound Turnpike Extension and Northwest 27th Avenue will have to find alternate travel plans.
The area was closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday for construction and will not reopen for approximately one week while upgrades to the highway are made.
During the closure, drivers will be redirected to exit at Northwest 199th Street (exit 2X) and instructed to go west on Northwest 27th Avenue where they can re-enter the Turnpike going southbound.
The closure is part of the ongoing construction on the Turnpike associated with open-road tolling.
