Mostly dry and hot across South Florida for Saturday
The NEXT Weather Team is tracking a mostly dry and hot day across South Florida.
For the first time in two weeks, we are unlikely to have a heat advisory. We will see "feels like" temperatures in the triple digits, but they will not last long enough to trigger a heat advisory, according to the National Weather Service.
It will be hot enough, though, for a major heat-related health risk for many of us in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
As we've all been doing this summer, stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade or in A/C if you are outside for long periods.
We will see some pop-up showers just before the second Dolphins pre-season game this afternoon, which airs on CBS Miami later today. The short-lived showers will drop some much-needed rain and could impact your tailgating plans.
As the Saharan dust dries out, we are moving back into a traditional rainy-season cycle, with hot, humid mornings followed by stormy afternoons. We will experience that set-up through the end of next week.
