Safety Isa Abdul-Quddus Signs Three Year Deal With Dolphins

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins continued their busy Wednesday, signing free agent safety Isa Abdul-Quddus.

The contract, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, is a three year deal worth $12.5 million.

Abdul-Quddus has played in every game for the Detroit Lions over the past two years and started eight games in 2015.

During last season he had 57 tackles, one sack and once forced fumble.

The 6-foot-1, 202 pound safety has two career interceptions but none since 2012 when he was with the New Orleans Saints.

Abdul-Quddus is considered an ascending player that is expected to help the Dolphins rebuild a secondary that struggled mightily last year.

He went undrafted out of Fordham and spent the past two seasons with the Lions after playing three seasons with the Saints.
