MIAMI — A person is dead after a fire broke out at a mobile home park in Hallandale Beach early Friday morning.

The fire occurred at the Seville Mobile Home Park at 513 NE 4th Ave. around 12:30 a.m., where firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the home when they arrived at the scene.

A CBS News Miami viewer caught video of the mobile home filled with flames and rushed to warn everyone at the mobile home park.

"I went to all the neighbors and I started screaming, 'Help, get out of your house. There's a big fire. You don't wanna get hurt,'" she said.

Crews had the fire under control in about 15 minutes and were able to stop it from spreading to two mobile homes nearby.

"They came within minutes and they put the fire out because the trailer was going to expand to the other trailers," the neighbor said.

Pam Whitney, another neighbor, told CBS News Miami that she didn't want to take any chances and took her family out of the house across the street.

"I ran out back with the baby, saying, 'Let's go in case it explodes into here,' and I just ran out. It was wild," Whitney said. "I've never seen anything like that."

Chopper 4 video showed the home is a total loss. Neighbors told CBS News Miami that the couple that lived there mostly kept to themselves but they are stunned that this happened.

"There was an explosion [and] I now know that my neighbor died," said neighbor Alicia Perez.

Officials have not released the identity of the victim.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
