MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Attention art lovers there's a new museum and exhibit is on its way to South Florida.
The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami has announced that it will hold its exclusive opening celebration on December 2, according to CBSMiami partner The Miami Herald.
The museum, which will be located in the Moore Building at 4040 NE Second Avenue in the Miami Design District, will be officially opened to the public on December 3rd just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach.
Art lovers will have the opportunity to see sculptures by New York-based Andra Ursuta. The collection will include pieces like Soft Power 1 and 2 (2013).
ICA Miami will also feature interactive performance work by Mexico's Pedro Reyes called Sanatorium. The act will be set up to mock a clinic, where the characters will act as receptionists and therapists, as well as interact with the audience
The museum will have free admission until the board of trustees finds a permanent location for it in Miami.
The exhibition will run through March.
