Miramar Home Invasion Turns Deadly
MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – A home invasion robbery attempt turned deadly in Miramar Saturday night.
Just after 11:30 p.m. police were sent to the 6100 block of SW 27th Street after receiving a call about gun shots. As they arrived they notice a gray Honda leaving the scene. The stopped the car a few blocks away on Miramar Parkway at SW 62nd Avenue. After interviewing the people in the car, police determined they were victims of a home invasion and took off because they thought that more than one individual may be involved.
At a home located at 6119 SW 27th Street, police found a man dead inside the residence. Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said investigators believe the man was shot and killed when he attempted rob the those in the home.
"There was some type of confrontation and the suspect for the home invasion robbery was shot and killed," said Rues.
The man was shot by an individual who visiting the home.
Police have not released the name of the man who died.
