Migrants Land On Fisher Island

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A group of migrants made landfall Friday morning on Fisher Island.
Chopper4 over the scene spotted a white boat with twin engines partially up on a seawall near a construction site. A short distance away, 15 - 16 men and women were being detained behind building. Most were sitting or lying on the ground, all appeared to be in good condition.
The U.S. Coast Guard said since the boat made it to land, the investigation would be handle by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The nationalities of the migrants have not been revealed.
