Miami Worldcenter Project Receives Initial Approvals

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The massive Miami Worldcenter project has received two key approvals from the city commission.

On Monday, commissioners approved zoning changes and a new development agreement which will allow the $1.5 billion project to move forward, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.

The plans for Worldcenter call for a retail, hotel and residential complex which will stretch from 11th Street to Sixth Street, and from North Miami Avenue to Second Avenue.

With approvals given, Worldcenter principal Nitin Motwani and his team can now submit actual site plans for the project.
