Miami Worker Shocked At Concrete Plant
MIAMI (CBS4) – A safety harness help saved a man's life after he received a life threatening electrical shock on the job.
Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll the man was working on an elevated level at the Tarmac America Inc. concrete facility when he received the jolt. The man's safety equipment stopped him from falling to the ground below.
Carroll said the man was conscious and talking to fire rescue crew members as they safely brought him to the ground. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The cause of the shock is under investigation.
