Miami Man Shot, Killed Over Cell Phone
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Miami man was shot and killed Monday night over his cell phone.
Around 11:30 p.m. two teens who were reportedly looking to rob someone, approached 54-year old Jerry Sherrell at 282 NE 54th Street and demanded his phone. When he refused to hand it over, one of the teens pulled a gun and shot him multiple times.
Arriving officers were able to take one of the suspected robbers, a 16-year old boy, into custody. The second one got away.
