Miami-Dade Public Library Launches New Site

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami-Dade Public Library has launched a new website meant to improve library services.

The library's in-house digital team  redesigned the site which has new features including portals  featured on the home page which will lead to new and fresh content highlighting library resources, materials and programs.

The site  automatically adapts to any computer, tablet or mobile device allowing easier options for searching their site.

"With changes in technology and continued demand by users it was time for a restructuring of the online portal to our services," said Library Director Raymond Santiago. "The new site features a clean, fresh look, and will greatly improve the experience of library users."

For those wanting to know more about each book, all the book information  including summary, author notes, reviews and available copies, can be seen at the same time.

Visitors will have fast access to digital media accounts like Axis 360, OverDrive, Freegal Music, Zinio Digital Magazines, and OneClick Digital.

For those trying to find out what is going on in each branch, the site now offers a streamlined calendar of events.
