MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - Miami-Dade police are asking for the public's help in finding a driver involved in a deadly hit & run accident.

The accident happened Wednesday night around 9:45 p.m. on NW 27th Avenue at 23rd Street.

Police said 43-year-old Rene Gil, of Hialeah, was walking along NW 27th Avenue when he was struck; the driver of the vehicle sped away leaving the man to die.

Investigators have not been able to identify what type of vehicle struck Gil and do not have a description of the driver.
