SEE IT: Jewelry, Cash, Car Stolen In Southwest Miami-Dade Home Invasion

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The search is on for four men who terrorized two women during a home invasion robbery in southwest Miami-Dade, according to Miami-Dade Police.

It happened June 5th around 7 p.m., in the area of 141 Avenue and SW 168th Street.

The armed men entered the home through an unlocked front door.

"The surveillance tape shows four individuals in black hoodies and wearing masks and they go along side houses testing doors and they find one that is unlocked and they go in," explained Miami-Dade police detective and spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta.

Once inside, Zabaleta said, one the men tied up the first woman with duct tape and threatened to kill her with a knife if she screamed.

The second woman was also tied up, her mouth covered with duct tape, as two of the men ransacked the house.

"They ransack they bedrooms and take $600 in cash and jewelry and take off in the victim's black car which detectives said was a 2017 Honda Accord. The video captures a red car going by and we are hoping someone in that car may have seen something," said Zabaleta.

The two women were not hurt.

A family member told CBS4 News that the women were terrified and deeply traumatized by the incident.

Zabaleta is making an impassioned plea for the public's help.

"This not what our community is about. Let's solve this case and put these subjects behind bars. Here we have one victim who is in her 60s and another in her 20s. We don't want them doing this again. Please if you know anything call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS," said Det. Zabaleta.
