Jenkins: DL Makes Everyone's Job 'Much Easier'

Interviews-wqam

The Miami Dolphins paid big money to land Ndamukong Suh this offseason, something the team's linebackers know will provide a tremendous lift for them this year.

"Yeah, definitely" Jelani Jenkins said on Hochman, Crowder and Krantz. "It was clear Day 1 as soon as we put the pads on. Just how much disruption he causes. I'm kind of learning and getting better just playing off of him. Whatever he ends up doing I just go the other way and a lot of times it's wide open for me."

What about Suh opening things up for the team's edge rushers like Olivier Vernon and Cam Wake?

"Yeah, exactly," Jenkins said. "Just with the attention he gets, it'll create one-one-one matchups for them and then even the games that they're able to run in different combinations that they'll be able to do, picks, stunts and stuff like that -- it looks great. Watching it on film it looks great."

"It makes everybody on the backend's job much easier. There have been a couple of times when I kind of got beat. I look back and the guy's sacked."
