MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Dolphins' fans have not been shy to make their feelings about general manager Jeff Ireland known. From planes flying overhead to small protests outside the Dolphins' facility, fans have repeatedly said they want Ireland out.
But earlier this week, Ireland's business card with his personal contact information made it onto Twitter, according to the Miami New Times. With Dolphins fans ready with virtual torches-and-pitchforks, a bad week for Ireland has turned much worse.
Ireland's week started off bad when Fins owner Stephen Ross held a press conference on Monday and repeatedly expressed complete confidence in head coach Joe Philbin and his character to handle the current situation.
Ross never mentioned Ireland during his brief appearance before reporters.
And given the Dolphins' problems from the Incognito/Martin mess to an overall lack of talent, chemistry, and winning; fans pounced when the contact information went public.
Fans have been spamming Ireland's voicemail, fax, and other forms of work communication for the last 48 hours.
Deadspin.com had some fun with the entire situation saying, "If at least one Miami fan didn't photocopy his *** and fax it to Jeff Ireland you have failed us all."
One fan called and left a voicemail parody of the Radiohead song "Creep."
Others called and simply laughed into the voicemail and still others went even further with their Internet/Social media revenge.

Ireland was re-signed to a one-year contract extension prior to the start of the 2013 season, but as the Dolphins continue to come under fire for losing and for personnel problems, whether or not Ireland gets to finish his contract remains to be seen.
